BRIEF

The Volunteering Geelong Community Foundation will provide support for volunteers working in urgent, difficult roles in the community. As a new initiative, the Foundation needed comprehensive branding and promotional solutions for the new identity.

SOLUTION

The Foundation needs to be attractive to young volunteers and to older philanthropists, so we focused on making a modern, but trustworthy, logo. We used triangles to echo the V in Volunteering, and chose red and orange because they’re dynamic colours. We also created illustrations and animations that captured the idea of a community that works together.

OUTCOME

The logo we have designed tiles to make a pattern which can be applied to anything from business cards to wall decals. The animations can be used on Instagram and Facebook, where autoplaying video will guarantee people watch them. We thought this would be a good way of advertising to potential volunteers. The poster designs can be used to advertise in places the Foundation operates to find more volunteers and donors. We’re excited to see the ways that the Foundation will use our work.
